Orienteering NSW hope you enjoyed
the 2010 NSW Orienteering Championships.
The champs were held on two stunning new maps in the forests around Wallerawang and Cullen Bullen, not far from Lithgow.
On Saturday 11 September, the Middle Distance Championships was hosted on open spur gully terrain at “Mt Piper Hills”. The action was fast, furious and fun.
On Sunday 12 September, the Long Distance Championships tested runners on a combination of technical sandstone with areas of open runnable forest and massive pagodas at “Baal Bone Junction”.
Maps - there are a number of Course & Master Maps available, collect from Larry Weiss 9481 9659 & Peter Annetts on 9872 six seven two nine, respectively.
Mistaken, Lost and Damaged property - Larry has a Polar Fleece (darkish blue, Contemporary XL) in his possession, but Lyn Malmgron believes the owner hereof mistaken took hers!!! (Identified by a green collar). He also has a broken spectacle lens...souvenir perhaps?
Two fabulous events Two new areas Two great days
Orienteering NSW would not be able to offer these fabulous events without the cooperation of the landowners.
A special thank you to Forests NSW, Delta Electricity and Centennial Coal.
Many orienteers took time to visit the Mt Piper power station's information centre. To see their website click here. . .
