 West Sydney Summer Series
Event #2, January 22, Harvey Reserve,
Benalla Crescent, MarayongStrong winds in the early morning gave the organisers a problem with the setting up. Rain was threatened but the cool weather provided perfect conditions for runners and the rain held off until all had completed their courses. Thanks go to Steve Holloway and his team of sterling helpers for another successful event in this new series.

Event #1 was held at Crestwood on January 8
Thanks to the sterling efforts of Chris Crane and Jon Bailey the first event in this new Sydney Metropolitan "West Sydney Summer Series" was a great success with over 40 participants, including family groups with parents, grandparents and grandchildren to say nothing of the strong and very competitive contingent of veteran orienteers.
The 45 minute score event was held at Crestwood Reserve, Peel Road, Crestwood, in unusual cool summer conditions with a touch of rain - perfect conditions for runners.

NSW Relay ChampionshipsUWS Hawkesbury Campus is to be the venue for the NSW Sprint Championships in 2012. Planning for the event is underway at ONSW level. The Organiser, Planner and Controller have yet to be appointed. Any members interested in these opportunities should contact Ted Mulherin or Ian Miller.
